The florals, the linens, the just-right lighting all filling in the spaces between the people in place to celebrate you.
The details you've dreamt up all serve as the foundation I build your live painting on.
You two take center stage on your canvas, and your celebration is painted all around you.
I believe in celebrating. All of the moments. No matter the size and no matter who sees. I believe in keeping the magic behind your celebration alive. I see constantly my canvases connect beyond the couple, provide a time capsule of an occasion and allow the party to live on forever.

Meet Cindy
I had done creative work for a family in their home and their children’s rooms for years, they were hosting an event for their business and asked me to come and paint during their event. I thought they were crazy, I didn’t think it was possible, but that was the first one. Kevin and Kristin, I will sing your praises forever!
01. HOW DID YOU START LIVE PAINTING?
Great question! It depends on the client, some opt for multiple canvases to tell the various parts of their stories events, some people go for a single canvas to encompass a bit of everything.
02. How many canvases will you do in one setting?
I do travel! I arrive onsite 1 to 2 hours before your guests arrive. In that amount of time I’m picking my best viewpoint to capture your celebration, I’m getting my pallet and space prepared, and I begin painting the space, laying out the just-right perspective as the foundation to continue painting as I see your guests begin trickling in.
03. DO YOU TRAVEL AND WHAT TIME WILL YOU START?
As long as I can remember. With a mom that was constantly crafting and re-decorating our home, and a dad that was a fine craftsman and woodworker, I always had access to creative supplies. I don’t really remember painting this but my grandpa had a very primitive painting of a human figure I had done, maybe around 3 years old(?) hanging in his office for years.
I am a full-time artist #sograteful Painting events and weddings, selling prints of some AroundTown originals, helping others find their inner creative, and keeping up with your requests to come paint your bash have grown to a solid and thriving (and incredibly fulfilling) business.
04. HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN PAINTING?
I work on site for approximately 6 to 8 hours, and 99.7% of the pieces are done by the time your event is wrapping up. I’m often asked how I paint so quickly, and honestly I'm not sure, call it the creative zone, or the ability to multi-task. It definitely took some practice, the first few live paintings I did were not done on site. So I worked harder, trusted my academic training, settled into the flow of the event, and just paint. To this day, I find myself getting too wrapped up in details that may not matter, and I catch myself getting frustrated and feel like I am stalled, I say a prayer and take a deep breath, I often have a conversation with someone who comes up and has a question for me, and then I get back to the canvas and before I know it - the painting is complete!
05. WHAT IS YOUR PROCESS LIKE AND HOW DO YOU PAINT SO QUICKLY?
I encourage my clients to weigh in as much as they would like before I show up. You design and direct your live painting, I just paint! Otherwise I paint things as I see them… little kids running around past their bedtime, a couple snuggled in in deep conversation, older relatives that are part of your party. There has been months of planning and plenty invested to make your celebration happen, I want to include as much of it as possible in your artwork.
06. How do you know what to paint?
I'm on social media, mostly Instagram and some Facebook. And the feed is usually finished work, the stories are the behind-the-scenes and daily grind stuff.
If you have a date that you are even thinking about for a live painting, submit your request for more information on my contact form. The calendar fills up fast and I would love to be there for you if at all possible!

"When I told people we would have a live painter at our wedding, they looked at me and told me how “extra” I was being. I second thought it a lot BUT you guys, I would recommend this to anyone and everyone! It was so cool to see the process unfold and everyone loved watching it throughout the night! Long story short, don’t let people tell you you’re extra! Have the day you want and splurge on what you want if you can!"
